Hi! I’m Heather Stockard, aka “The Cruising Cook,” author of A Cruising Cook’s Guide to Mexico. Welcome to my website! Here you will find links to my books and updates to them, as well as my blog of recipes, techniques, provisioning tips, and other materials of interest to the cruising cook. These tips and techniques are drawn from my 40 years of boating experience, including 12 years cruising aboard our Saga 43, Legacy.  Our travels aboard Legacy have taken us from Alaska to Mexico, Central America, Ecuador, the Western Caribbean,  Florida, and the Bahamas.

Our big news is that a Second Edition of the Cruising Cook’s Guide is in final preparation and should be published in 2021. The Second Edition includes information updated to 2020, more content to help you cook well, and many new and updated recipes.
